Nightingale Ballarat wins Apartment Awards

Nightingale Ballarat has been recognised by Australian Apartment Advocacy (AAA) for its ingenuity in bringing sustainable, community focused apartment living to a growing Victorian regional city.

The AAA advocate for those living in the apartment sector through advice and assistance and play a role in the education and promotion of the benefits of well-designed apartment living and housing diversity.

The AAA Awards for Excellence are designed to acknowledge projects and apartment communities excelling in design and ongoing management.

At the inaugural 2024 Victorian award ceremony, Nightingale Ballarat took home two awards for Best Regional Development and Pioneering Project.

A prototype for apartment living in Ballarat, Nightingale Ballarat was the first multi-residential apartment project in Ballarat for more than ten years. The project is now used to showcase regional apartment living, setting the standard for other regional centres to encourage the introduction of much needed housing choice outside of metro Melbourne.

Nightingale Ballarat is exceptional in its sustainability outcomes and a building that has fast become a community favourite. In reaching its decision to award Nightingale Ballarat both awards, AAA noted:

This is perfect example of delicate density whereby apartments are inserted into a streetscape, but due to their architecture and sensitive design, add to the ambience of the street with minimal impact on their neighbours.

As part of the judging process, representatives from AAA toured Nightingale Ballarat with Hygge Director Joseph van Dyk and spoke with current residents.
