Nightingale Ballarat - residents move in!

With construction by local contractor H. Troon complete at the beginning of this year, residents have moved in to Nightingale Ballarat. It has been wonderful to hear the positive feedback from the new residents now enjoying simple sustainable apartment living in Ballarat Central.

An important element of the Nightingale Housing vision is creation of the perfect environment to enable a thriving community. Whilst inevitably this takes time, connection is fostered through high-use communal spaces. The community courtyard, shared rooftop area and central café space (to be opened later this year) all form part of the fabric at Nightingale Ballarat to enable people to form new connections.

Although they’ve not been in their new homes long, the residents at Nightingale Ballarat feel like they know one another well, having had catch ups prior to moving in. Stories of people riding to work, baking for neighbours in isolation and calling on fellow residents to borrow tools or ask for help are already emerging.
