Tell us a little bit about yourself

Hi, I’m Catherine! I grew up in the lush surroundings of Mount Dandenong and now call our small farm near Daylesford home. My husband Jason and I, along with our two kids, are loving life as we embrace regenerative agriculture on our farm. I'm especially obsessed with our bees and veggie garden—watching everything thrive has become a real passion!

What’s your role with Hygge?

I’m an Assistant Development Manager at Hygge, and it was the incredible people and purpose-driven projects that drew me in, rather than the title itself. I love that the team focuses on improving quality of life and making sustainability a priority in every project.

I was inspired to enter the world of property after seeing my husband dive into similar projects. Over time, I discovered my own passion for bringing thoughtful development ideas to life.

What do you like best about living in Daylesford?

Daylesford is such a perfect mix of community spirit and stunning natural beauty. We love the welcoming, close-knit vibe of the Hepburn region, and the clean air and open spaces are definitely a bonus! It’s become a really special place for us, where we got engaged, married and started our family.

What are your favourite places to visit?

Jase and I enjoy going to Sault for dinner and The Virgin Kitchen for a delicious breakfast. I can’t resist popping into Cedar + Sage for some retail therapy, and Paradise Bookshop always has something for me.

As a family, we adore walking through Wombat State Forest, and we love stopping at local farm stalls—Loganberry Farm is a favourite for its gorgeous flowers!
