Nightingale Ballarat awards finalist!

Nightingale Ballarat has been shortlisted for three categories in the Urban Development Industry of Australia (UDIA) Victorian Awards for Excellence - Environmental Excellence, Urban Renewal and Medium Density.

The awards are a celebration of the knowledge, skills and innovation of the Australian urban development industry and they showcase the world class developments and projects happening across Australia.

Nightingale Ballarat includes 27 apartments and community spaces designed with an overarching priority towards social, economic and environmental sustainability. The building reflects Ballarat’s rich history in form and is 100% fossil fuel-free.

As the first Nightingale building in regional Victoria, Nightingale Ballarat is an example of how a well-designed, community-centric building can drive a change in the narrative for apartment living in a regional context and encourage urban regeneration of regional city centres.

The result is the transformation of a site in inner-city Ballarat from a single private industrial use to a new multi residential building which has activated a central laneway.

Winners will be announced later this year, after a rigorous eight month application, site visit and judging process.
