The Village in SITCHU
Our upcoming project The Village in Daylesford has featured in SITCHU - an online lifestyle platform curated to explore the nation’s most sought-after suburbs while telling the story of what it’s like to live like a local.
The mini article focuses on Daylesford’s profile, including its pull as a ‘regional oasis’ with boutique shops and award-winning eateries at the footstep to the Macedon Ranges.
Inevitably, property is at a premium in the regional haven making it competitive to secure a home. Sitchu’s tip is the upcoming release of the 31 one, two and three bedroom sustainable homes at The Village will open up the Daylesford market.
Designed by well known sustainable architect Breathe The Village will form part of the new Middleton Field neighbourhood located off Raglan Street in Daylesford.
All homes prioritise the health and well-being of the environment and its future residents, including cross-ventilation, double-glazing and natural light, making the homes warm in winter and cool in summer. The Village will also be 100% electric and powered by green energy from Hepburn Energy.
Following an interview with Jeremy McLeod, founding director of Breathe, SItchu outlines how Breathe is working with the project’s landscape architect Acre to identify the pre-colonial vegetation of the Daylesford area.
“The project seeks to restore this type of vegetation through a central habitat corridor for local bird life and fauna. This shared landscape will also provide an opportunity for future neighbours – older generations and kids – to meet, relax or play.”
