PERMITS
A big year in planning, the Hygge team obtained three permits in 2024 to progress new projects across Victoria, including in:
Central Geelong for a luxury apartment building designed by Cera Stribley on Little Ryrie Street. Find out more and register your interest for this project now HERE.
Black Hill, Ballarat for a series of townhouses designed by Porter Architects set within a seasonal landscape by Acre. Bordering the Chisholm Street Reserve - Chisholm Green offers the best of local living with a primary school, swimming pool, post office, hotel, bush trails and mountain biking paths all close by.

BUILDS
The Hygge team celebrated completing the structural framework for Lyons Place in Ballarat Central, with the build anticipated to be finished by Figurehead Construction in mid-2025. Read about this exciting project milestone HERE.

The Roads in Mount Clear, Ballarat with many homes in Stage 1 now well underway through local builders.
Middleton Field in Daylesford for multiple stages including finishing the new road network and five homesites for the upcoming season of Channel 9’s The Block.
Excitingly, late last year the first home in Middleton Field was also completed and handed over to its future residents. See more of this beautiful custom designed home by local Ballarat builder JV Dodd HERE.

TEAM
In 2024, Hygge welcomed new team member Catherine who is working on projects in Mount Clear and Daylesford. Find out more about Cat HERE.
The team participated in several industry talks and events with the Urban Development Industry Association, The Property Council of Australia, Rotary Club of Ballarat and the Committee for Ballarat.
Highlights for the team included:
running in Ballarat’s inaugural Ballarat Marathon;
joining Figurehead at Lyons Place to raise asthma awareness and funds for Zoe Kennedy Foundation;
cycling in the Love to Ride challenge – a free and fun biking initiative during the month of October;
joining neighbouring Catholic primary school Emmaus to complete the final stages of planting forming part of the project’s Canadian Creek restoration works at The Roads in Mount Clear;
celebrating The Village winning the inaugural award for Excellence in Sustainability at the annual REA Excellence Awards gala. The award recognised the project as noteworthy for regional Victoria encouraging smaller footprint townhouse living in towns like Daylesford;
visiting King Island with project partners Payton Capital as part of a developer partnership series; and
attending and speaking at the Remembrance Service held in Daylesford – see Catherine and her family at the event HERE.
FUTURE
Construction of the first townhouses at The Village at Middleton Field, in Daylesford will start this February. Designed by leading sustainable architect Breathe a limited number of townhouses are selling.
Also in Daylesford, with the frames for Houses 1-5 well underway for The Block, Hygge are thrilled to achieve a unique mix of housing within the Middleton Field neighbourhood and the prospect of generating activity for local businesses as part of the upcoming filming of the popular TV show set to begin soon. In South Geelong, with restoration works complete – works are progressing on the 7 warehouse style apartments in the former Geelong Glass Works building at The Bottleworks.
Beyond Victoria, the Hygge team have acquired a site for a new mixed use apartment project in Adelaide. Work is now well underway with the project team and authorities to secure approvals for future development of this site in the leafy inner suburb of Malvern. Watch this space!
